Ronnie Lee Atkins, 72, of Edmonton, Kentucky, passed away on September 2, 2026, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born on May 27, 1954, in Summer Shade, Kentucky. His passing brings sorrow to those who knew and loved him, and he will be remembered with deep affection by his family. Ronnie previously attended South Edmonton Church of Christ, loved to make those around him laugh and greatly loved to watch the Denver Broncos play football. 

At the center of Ronnie’s life was his family. He shared 24 years of marriage with his loving wife, Lisa Judd Atkins, and their years together stand as a lasting part of his life and memory. He is also survived by his son, Eddie Atkins (Tammy); his step-sons, Devan Lane and Cameron Lane; and his step-granddaughter, Kendell Lane; and step grandson, Hudson Lane. Ronnie’s family also includes his granddaughters, Hallie Siemon and Madison Atkins, and his grandson, Cooper Lee Atkins; One great grandson, Kohen Siemon. 

He is further survived by his sisters, Darlene Phelps (Rondal) and Bonnie Shirley. One brother-in-law, James Neal England. Ronnie’s life was closely connected to the bonds of family, and those relationships remain a meaningful part of the legacy he leaves behind.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father and mother, Boyd Atkins and Christine Bilbrey Atkins; by his daughter, Angela Atkins; One sister, Barbara England; and by one brother, Donell Atkins. Their memories remained part of his life.

Ronnie Lee Atkins will be remembered with love by those who shared in his life, and his memory will continue to live on in his family and in the hearts of all who knew him.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home with burial to follow the service at Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home.

Bro. Aaron Trimm will be officiating and serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Atkins, Devan Lane, Cameron Lane, Jeremy England, Patrick Phelps and Corey Phelps.
