Betty Jo Hatcher, 64, was born on January 5, 1960, to the late Jessie Lester and Joann Hampton and departed this life peacefully surrounded by family at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY on February 15, 2024.
She was saved as a young lady at Servant Valley United Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death. She was a homemaker who loved to garden and taking care of her beautiful flowers.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Eugene Hatcher; one son, Joseph Hatcher of Cave City, KY; two brothers, Billy Hampton (Debbie) of Cave City, and Wayne Hamilton; one Sister-in-law Genese Dial (Jeff) of Cave City; six nephews, Jessie Hampton, Joey Blair (April)
Bobby Wayne Blair, Brad (Brookie) Dial, Jon (Chasity) Dial and Jake (Amber) Dial; four nieces, Marilyn Hampton, Cheryl Carnahan, Ladonna (Ryan) Shive and Tiffany (Jordan) Carter and a host of other family & friends.
She was proceeded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Stanley and Ruth Hatcher, one brother Robert Hampton, two sisters Carolyn Blair & Patsey Carahan, one Brother-in-law Ricky Hatcher, one nephew Jeffery Allen Dial Jr, and two nieces, Teresa Carahan & Terri Carahan.
Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Servant Valley United Baptist Church in Cave City, KY with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday February 18, 2024 and will continue on Monday morning until the time of the service at the church.
Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home in Edmonton is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
