Ella Dean "Deanie" (Simpson) Owens

Ella Dean “Deanie” Owens, 74, of Edmonton, KY passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. She was born on March 25, 1951, in Greensburg, KY to the late Cecil and Mary T. Patterson Simpson.

Deanie enjoyed playing card games, cornhole and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include two children Lois Simpson Estes (Tony) and James David Owens both of Edmonton, KY; five grandchildren Heather Boston, Kyle Boston, Whitney Estes (Luke), Maria White (J.R.) and Kellie Owens; four great grandchildren Kaleb Boston, Brayton Butts, Brinley Butts and Everly White; three siblings Michael Simpson (Melissa) of Edmonton, KY, Linda Robertson (Eugene) of Knob Lick, KY and Mary Ann Rhinehart (Jr) of Sulphur Well, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death three siblings Cleston Simpson, Elmore Simpson, and Merlene Turner.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00am on Thursday at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home.

Bro. Craig Trumbo will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Kyle Boston, Luke Butts, Michael Simpson, Heather Boston, David Lee Simpson, and Timmy Burton.
